The Angelus

The Angelus remembers the moment the angel Gabriel told Mary she would be the Mother of God, and she said yes. It has three versicles, each followed by a Hail Mary, and a closing prayer.

When it’s prayed

Traditionally at 6 in the morning, at noon and at 6 in the evening. In Angelus it rings at 12:00 PM. From Easter to Pentecost, the Regina Caeli is prayed in its place.
