Terms of Use

Angelus (Spanish: Ángelus)
Effective date: 28 October 2026

These terms cover the Angelus app. The app is run by Francisco Barros (“we”). By using the app, you agree to them. We’ve kept them short.

The app

Angelus is a Catholic prayer app for iPhone. At the prayer times you set, the apps you choose wait until you pray; then they open until the next prayer time. It’s made for adults.

The prayers are the Church’s standard texts. Angelus is a help for your own prayer; it isn’t an official publication of the Catholic Church.

You stay in control

Angelus uses Apple’s Screen Time to pause the apps you pick, and only those. You can turn off Angelus’s Screen Time access at any time in your iPhone’s Settings, and if your trial or plan ends, the locks switch off. Angelus isn’t a medical or health service.

The subscription

The art and words

Rafi, the village art and the app’s own words belong to us. Please don’t copy, sell or share them publicly without asking us first. The prayers themselves belong to the whole Church, and you’re always free to pray them.

No guarantees

We work hard to make the app reliable. Still, the app is provided “as is”, and to the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond what these terms say and aren’t responsible for indirect losses from using it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

Privacy

Your Screen Time data and what you write in the app stay on your iPhone. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If the terms change, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
